Before the Summit is a collection of poems that takes one on a journey through the highs and lows of life. If we look at our lives as an upward voyage, the summit is our target: the place where we celebrate our accomplishments and reflect on the obstacles we've overcome. We all want to get to the summit, but we often forget that getting to the summit is not as easy as it seems. Mountains are two sided: smooth on one side and rough on the other side. As much as we would like, we can't climb up the smooth side of a mountain. Therefore we have to prepare ourselves to hike up the uneven terrain. Before the Summit is simply the journey we must all take to successfully walk in our purpose.
